Paracress (Acmella oleracea), also known as Buzz Buttons – is not only fun in cocktails but also powerful in skincare. With its natural Spilanthol, you can create your own extract for creams, serums, or tinctures. Here’s how:
What You’ll Need
-
10–15 dried Paracress flowers
-
100 ml carrier oil (e.g., olive, jojoba, or almond oil)
-
A clean glass jar with lid

Instructions
-
Prepare
Place the dried flowers into your jar. Lightly crush them to release the active compounds. -
Infuse
Pour the oil over the flowers until fully covered. Seal the jar tightly. -
Wait
Store in a warm, dark place for 2–3 weeks. Shake gently every few days. -
Strain
After infusion, strain out the flowers using a fine sieve or cheesecloth. -
Use
Your extract is ready! Apply a few drops into your DIY creams, serums, or massage oil.
✨ Tip: The longer you infuse, the stronger the tingling effect. Always patch test before use on skin.
